It all started with the Wailing, a terrible disease which was unleashed upon the lands of Lyoness several years ago…
It was then that the Lords of Lyoness, a grouping of the lands most powerful people declared that help was needed. It was Lord Carnelian who devised the plan and set the founding of the Adventuring Guild in place.

The guild travelled the Land solving troubles and searching for a way to end the Wailing death. It was they that exposed the Dark coven of Mages who had created the disease and readied plans to defeat them.
These plans however had very few successes, few of the Black mages could ever be found and even fewer killed, one such Kill was made by the infamous Taiz’t Korrd who made history in many ways, finally being made a Lord posthumously.

Another Guild arose in these dark times, a Mercenary guild whose sole purpose was to gain power and rival the Adventurers… Between them, both guilds came discovered that another coven of mages existed, a sect of White Magic users who opposed the Dark spell casters who created the Wailing death.
The two guilds battling for supremacy set forth to rescue these white Mage who had been locked away by their Dark Cousins.

It was at this time that the draconic armies invaded, possibly drawn here by the dark spells of the black mages, possibly working for masters yet unknown. This invasion brought war to the lands, causing the guilds to ally and build an army to enforce the Lords personal forces… an alliance which was shaky at best.

The allied guilds finally succeeded in rescuing the White coven who explained their plan to call forth ritual energies to stop the Wailing.
In order to do this however, the black mages must be defeated…

The guilds hunted and found the Dark Coven and succeeded in killing all but one of the Black hearted spell casters, even the traitorous Zenax, half brother of the reputable Captain Yarr’q of the adventurers was found and killed.

Yet as the White mages ritual rose in power it became apparent that they didn’t have the strength to cure the disease… at this moment Lord Carnelian exposed himself and offered his life in sacrifice fot the ritual to succeed. With but his and his messenger Kaylen’s life energies the ritual worked and a cure was created in full.

Celebrations flooded the lands even as the War with the draconics drew back into a standstill, the guilds however were failing, and both had suffered great losses…

Through these dark times a new leader appeared, Taun’et Korrai’shan Daire, twin sister of the deceased Lord Taiz’t Kord. Taking her brothers position as Lord of Lyoness she merged the two guilds and strengthened them forming the Reformed Mercenary guild as it stands today.

Now the war with the draconic forces continues although some hint the Draconics are waiting for something. The last of the black mages remains missing, hidden away in some dark region of the lands possibly plotting vile revenge.
The latest blow to be struck however was the murder of Lord Vyrikko, sole heir to Lord carnelians position of power… the only sources of blame lie on the heads of five members of the Reformed mercenaries, now the race is on to discover the truth and rescue their friend...
